Christmas tree valves are a system of valves, chokes, spools, and gauges which, unsurprisingly, resemble a Christmas tree. It is important to note that Christmas tree valves are placed on top of wellheads after production has started to direct and control product from the well. They are mostly employed in offshore oil rigs as subsea wells.
