Lifting sub is a special tool for lifting drilling tools in oil, gas and geological exploration drilling operations. It is a short drill rod, which is used to connect to the thread of the drill collar when the drill collar is lifted so that the elevator can be used to lift the drill.
The lifting sub is made of AISI 4145H chromium-molybdenum steel and conforms to API specifications. The thread can be cold rolled, copper plated or phosphated.
There are two types of lifting sub of the integral structure: A and B. Type A is with 18-degree shoulder and B is with 90-degree shoulder. According to the structure of the elevator, people can choose A type or B type lifting sub. All threads comply with API standard specifications.
